The Impact of Supply Chain Transparency Initiatives on the Financial Performance of UK Manufacturing Firms
Currently I am studying for a PhD in the Department of International Business at the University of Ulster, Magee Campus. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Business Studies with Accountancy from the Ulster Business School in 2008 and my subsequent master's degree in International Business from the Ulster Business School in 2009.
My time at the University of Ulster as both an undergraduate and postgraduate student has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. I found the lecturers and staff to be really helpful and supportive to my needs as a student. This was a key factor in my decision to return to the University of Ulster to study for my PhD. My research area focuses on the topic of supply chain management. In particular, my research focuses on the issue of transparency and information sharing in supply chains and the impact this has on the financial performance of firms. My research interests mainly lie in the field of global supply chain management and I have a special interest in sustainable supply chain management and managing across cultures.
I commenced my PhD in September 2011 and thus far have found the research training program at the Ulster Business School to be very helpful to my needs as a researcher. My main goal now is to enjoy my time as a research student at the University of Ulster.
